How to Defeat the Deadly Threat Amongst Female Praise Dance Leaders

The #1 Threat for Female Praise Dance Leaders

Whether you are you a new or seasoned praise dance leader, we have and will be faced with this devasting threat!

The threat I am discussing is EMOTIONS!

We as leaders can’t afford to be caught up in our feelings when it comes to teaching dancers the word of God, practicing movements with our dance team or making EMOTIONAL choices when it comes to the location on where the team should minister.
An emotional leader presents instability, unstableness, disorganization, and inconsistency.
An emotional leader misses the opportunity to minister to the needs of their team, church, and the world.

3 Tops Signs of an Emotional Leader
1. Sensitive and defensive to criticism.
2. Indecisive decision making.
3. Warring with Emotions and not the Word.

How to Use the Helmet of Salvation

Looking back at that experience when I allowed that person to speak words of defeat over myself and my ministry, I realized there was one main component I did not wear on a daily basis. I DID NOT WEAR MY ARMOR!
Ephesians 6:12-17 explains what we should wear when faced with the schemes and wiles of the enemy:

>belt of truth buckled around your waist,
>breastplate of righteousness in place,
>feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace
>shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the
evil one
>the helmet of salvation
>the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

The most crucial part of the armor when it comes leadership is the HELMET OF SALVATION! If the enemy can plague your thought by leading your praise team on a “touchy-feely-wherever the wind may blow mindset”, then he’s already won the battle!

The Importance of the Helmet of Salvation

The helmet does the following:

1. The helmet provides hope (Romans 15:13).
2. The helmet protects the mind (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, I Thessalonians 5:8).
3. The helmet provides tunnel vision (Hebrew 12:1-2).

As leaders, we must keep our heads and protect ourselves against thoughts of doubts, insecurity, anxiety, and fear.
As leaders, we must combat the wiles of the devil and let him that I AM THE HEAD and NOT the TAIL.
